The results for the first cut in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Contest were just posted. There were 5,000 applicants in the Young Adult category and they chose to top 1,000 pitches. They only looked at the pitches, nothing else.
AND I MADE IT!
Next they read all 1,000 of our synopses and choose 250.
